Some Facts regarding BSE

Total Market Cap Rs 53,24,954 crore on March 25, 2008.

Total number of companies : 2639

If we see the PE of the market over the last 5 years
PE < 16 Means Over Sold
PE > 22 Means Over Bought
Market has a support at PE = 19

Sensex has historically traded at 18x
Currently, the Sensex is available at a PE of 20x March 28,2008

PEG ratio of Sensex at historical levels it comes to around 3x, while at
current level and growth rates the PEG ratio comes to 2.29x

25 per cent is export to GDP ratio in India whereas 40 per cent in China.
Even out of the 25 per cent, direct export to dollar economies are about 8-10 per cent, but through China, Brazil and other countries its produces and products are certainly reaching the US shores.
